Russian chain stitch

I made one of these in black and pink color - combo and gave it to my friend. That was the first of the Russian chain stitch that I attempted to make. The following day, she called me for two custom orders! Apparently, her co - workers saw the handmade "bling" on her wrist and admired it. Here's the green colorway that her co - worker custom ordered.

bead mixes

I've got hooked in netting! I found tubes of 11/0 glass beads in my stash. I am more fascinated by the bead mixes that I accummulated so here they are - a band - ready to hug a wrist that's willing.

garnet chips

This is my first attempt to netting. When we were at the Cape with my friends, I had a chance to see one of the handmade bracelets at a local shop. I thought it's very beautiful and it inspired me to try to make it myself. Here's my take:

I made the base of the bracelet using netting stitch. I used 11/0 silver-lined amethyst glass beads. After making the base, I then stitched the garnet chips on top of it. The pictures below will show you how the finish product looks like. Hope you like it!

Sorry for the Inconvenience....

A very talented blog designer Karlota of my web blog design was gracious enough to offer to "overhaul" my old blog layout. I'd like to thank her for her patience, time, and talent. She is such adept in her field. You won't regret dealing with her in making your blog look sharp!

On that note, I am in the process of putting back the widgets and such from my old layout. She offered to do the rest for me but I'd like to somehow get my "hands dirty" on this layout beautification process.

Again, Thank you, Karlota!

pink and green

This is what I've done while talking to my df on the phone. A lovely pink and green bracelet! I am just so inspired by the colors of spring that it seems so inevitable not to make something "springy". This piece is made of sterling plated findings and czech glass beads in flower and tear drop shapes. tfr!

Peridot colored bracelet and earring set

This is a piece I made for my colleague. I used all sterling silver findings, hooks, and connectors. the green bead is very pretty - my picture does not do any justice to it. I also made a pair of earrings that go with the piece. tfr!

my new "jewelry case"

I made a roll-up case for my jewelry so it will be easier for me to bring my pieces to work. (my colleagues are very supportive of my business- I am grateful of that!) I made so many that they looked so disorganized in the old jewelry box. The old box was made from the box I bought at the thrift store. I believe it use to be a box for the utensils!

Now, I have a new jewelry case! I love that fact that I can just roll the jewelry in and toss it in my bag!

If you are curious as to how I made it, leave me a comment. Tfr!

back to peyote

Here are some of the peyote projects I've been doing these past days. The first two pictures below are made of triangular glass beads made by Miyuki of Japan. I love using their product for their consistency in shapes and size.

The bracelet below is made with square or cube glass beads. I used beading elastic to put the beads together in a peyote stitch. The cuff is stetchy, comfy and always cool to your wrist.
Here's a mix of colors for the coming fall. I know it's still too early to think about fall but I can't help but think about it when I was making this bracelet.

spring greenery

Here's my weekend project - a band made of miyuki tri glass beads of springy green colors. The with of the is a little bit more than an inch.

burst #3

Here's another burst I made for myself. Sometimes, it's nice to make something and wear it! I had some accolades on this. The pictures I posted don't do any justice on how pretty this piece actually looks like! I use swarovski rivoli for the center piece, miyuki glass beads of different sizes, and some gf charlottes.

silver donuts

There's a nice, comforting feeling when you know that your work is appreciated.
I made a bracelet for my df and colleague (pictured above), 2 of my other dfs asked me to make them the same ones! I thank them for keeping my business going. *wink

Lisa's Pink Bracelet

This bracelet was custom made for Lisa's mom. She wanted to have something made for her mom's birthday along with her other pink gifts for her. Once again, I was glad to make this project for her. I am positive her mom will like this piece not only because it's pretty but also because she's very thoughtful. tfr!

flower dangles

This earring and bracelet set is made for Lisa J.
She bought the pair of earrings and asked me to make a bracelet that would go with this pair of earrings that she likes a lot. I then went and found some beads that will go with the earrings.
The set is made with Czech glass beads that I think are pressed. They are flower beads in different sizes and colors. I used a sterling plated for its metals.
I am so glad that she liked the set when I showed it to her.

Colleen's Bracelet

Here's another custom made bracelet and earring set that my df and colleague asked me to do. It took me a couple of weeks to find the rings for the project but once I've laid my eyes on these rings, I did not take any chances. I thought that maybe I could make my own rings using PMC but that's another story. I am interested in that, too. I need to concentrate on one thing right now and that's to make my customers happy! I'd like to thank my df and a couple others who made the same orders as soon as they saw this set!

Email me or leave a comment if you want the set also. I made three of these so far. tfr!

spring flower fringe

I cannot wait for the warm weather or at least the early spring. Instead of whining about it, I took some beads and made them into a garland for your wrist! These beads are made of acrylic, they're transparent and very light that make soft sound to scare away the snow! If you're lucky, you'll find a bug or two on your garland as well.

Penny Candy Bracelet

Almost all everyone who saw this bracelet in person never failed to mention that this one reminded them of the candy they used to buy at a penny store, hence the name. I thought they're candy-looking and so yummy! But they're tiny glass beads in teardrop shapes. These beads are made in Japan by the Miyuki company. The toggles are silver plated.

This specific piece was bought by my df and colleague, Terri, as a gift to her gf. Let's spread the lovin' - start buying handmade! Thank you, Terri, I would like you to know that I appreciate your business.

Bead Crochet Bracelet

I am bidding this pretty bracelet goodbye. It's always nice to know that what I took time creating is also enjoyed by another person. This time, it's Barb who "hearts" my creation. Thank you, Barb for stimulating the economy. *wink

This bracelet is made using 11/0s miyuki glass beads (of black diamond, pink and clear colors) and some clear fringe beads also from miyuki. I strung them using guttermann top stitching/button thread then crocheted with love and care. The result is amazing! I have to admit that this piece is my most popular in 2008. Several custom made orders we made for this specific color combinations.

Please don't take a shower with this bracelet or don't wet it since it will sag. The weight of the beads on cotton thread does the trick. Again, I guarantee your satisfaction as long as I know you took proper care of the piece.

Stay Happy!
